Lee Chastain: Social Entrepreneur of the Month

How long have you been a social entrepreneur?
I have been doing this work for about seven years. My first four years were as a city planner in a suburb of Atlanta, Powder Springs. I was involved in what is called a social justice mitigation plan. Powder Springs received a grant to connect the city to the interstate, and a bridge needed to be constructed through a neighborhood. A part of my job was to make sure that everyone benefited in some way. I sought to make improvements in the neighborhood that would be perceived as positive by everyone.

What is your biggest social entrepreneurship dream?
It’s not such a big dream, but I want to leave every place I go more beautiful than I found it.
